Music

iHorizon doubles as a full music player. Join a voice channel, ask for a song, and the bot streams it for everyone in the room. From there you get all the controls you would expect: a queue you can shuffle and loop, volume adjustment, pause and skip, lyrics, and a history of what you have played. The commands below cover the whole player.

Behind the scenes iHorizon uses LavaLink to send the audio into your voice channel, with the bot acting as the go-between. The supported sources are:

To get started, join a voice channel and run /music play with a song name or link. The rest of the commands act on whatever is currently playing.

/music play <title>

Option Type Required Choices
title String Yes -

Plays a song. Type a song name to search for it, or paste a link. If something is already playing, your track is added to the end of the queue instead of interrupting it.

/music pause

Pauses the current track, freezing it where it is. Use /music resume to pick back up.

/music resume

Resumes playback after a pause, continuing from exactly where you stopped.

/music skip

Skips the current track and moves on to the next one in the queue.

/music stop

Stops the music entirely, clears the queue, and disconnects iHorizon from the voice channel.

/music nowplaying

Shows the track playing right now, along with a progress bar so you can see how far in you are.

/music trackinfo

Shows detailed information about the current track, such as its author, duration, and source.

/music queue

Lists the upcoming tracks waiting to be played, in order.

/music clear-queue

Empties the queue without stopping the current track. Handy when you want to start fresh but keep what is playing.

/music shuffle

Randomly reorders the tracks in the queue, so the rest of the playlist plays in a surprise order.

/music loop <mode>

Option Type Required Choices
mode String Yes Off, On

Turns looping on or off. With loop On, the current track repeats instead of moving to the next one.

/music volume <level>

Option Type Required Choices
level String Yes 10%, 20%, 30%, 35%, 45%, 55%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 95%, 100%

Sets how loud the music plays, from a quiet 10% up to full volume.

/music lyrics <query>

Option Type Required Choices
query String Yes -

Looks up the lyrics for a song. Type the song's name in query and iHorizon fetches the words for you to sing along.

/music history
