Moderation

iHorizon provides several commands at your disposal to help you moderate your server. From bans and kicks to timed mutes, warnings, and channel locks, everything a moderator needs is here. Most commands take an optional reason that iHorizon records and shows in your logs, so your team always has the context behind an action.

/mod ban <member> [reason]

Requires the Ban Members permission

Only members with the Ban Members permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
member User Yes -
reason String No -

Permanently bans a member from the server. Add a reason to note why, for your logs and your team.

/mod baninfo <user>

Requires the Ban Members permission

Only members with the Ban Members permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
user User Yes -

Shows the details of a ban, such as the reason it was issued, for a user who is currently banned.

/mod banlist

Requires the Manage Server permission

Only members with the Manage Server permission can use this command.

Lists everyone currently banned from the server.

/mod clear <number> [member]

Requires the Manage Messages permission

Only members with the Manage Messages permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
number Number Yes -
member User No -

Bulk-deletes messages in the current channel. Set number to how many to remove. Add a member to delete only that person's messages among the last ones, handy for cleaning up after a single spammer.

/mod mutelist

Requires the Timeout Members permission

Only members with the Timeout Members permission can use this command.

Lists every member who is currently muted, along with when their mute ends.

/mod kick <member> [reason]

Requires the Kick Members permission

Only members with the Kick Members permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
member User Yes -
reason String No -

Removes a member from the server. Unlike a ban, they can rejoin with a new invite, so a kick is a lighter warning shot.

/mod lock [role]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
role Role No -

Locks the current channel so members can no longer send messages in it. By default it locks everyone; pass a role to lock only that role. Perfect for pausing a heated conversation or closing a channel during an event.

/mod lock-all [role]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
role Role No -

Locks every channel on the server at once, the emergency button during a raid. Optionally target a single role.

/mod tempmute <user> <time> [reason]

Requires the Timeout Members permission

Only members with the Timeout Members permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
user User Yes -
time String Yes -
reason String No -

Mutes a member for a set period, after which they can talk again automatically. Set time like 10m, 1h, or 2d. Great for a cool-down without a permanent punishment.

/mod unban <userid> [reason]

Requires the Ban Members permission

Only members with the Ban Members permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
userid String Yes -
reason String No -

Removes a ban so the user can rejoin. Since a banned user isn't on the server anymore, you identify them by their user ID rather than by mention.

/mod unlock [role]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
role Role No -

Reopens a channel that was locked with /mod lock, letting members talk again.

/mod unmute <user>

Requires the Timeout Members permission

Only members with the Timeout Members permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
user User Yes -

Lifts a member's mute right away, before it would expire on its own.

/mod warn <member> <reason>

Requires the Timeout Members permission

Only members with the Timeout Members permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
member User Yes -
reason String Yes -

Gives a member a formal warning with a required reason. Warnings are saved to their record, building a history you can review before deciding on tougher action.

/mod unwarn <member> <warn-id>

Requires the Timeout Members permission

Only members with the Timeout Members permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
member User Yes -
warn-id String Yes -

Removes a single warning from a member. Find the warn-id with /mod warnlist, then pass it here to clear that specific entry.

/mod warnlist <member>

Requires the Timeout Members permission

Only members with the Timeout Members permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
member User Yes -

Shows all the warnings a member has received, each with its ID and reason.

/mod clearwarn <member>

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
member User Yes -

Clears all warnings from a single member, wiping their warning history clean.

/mod clear-all-warns

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Clears the warnings of every member on the server at once. This cannot be undone.

/mod temprole <member> <role> <time> [reason]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
member User Yes -
role Role Yes -
time String Yes -
reason String No -

Gives a member a role temporarily, then removes it automatically when the time runs out. Useful for trial roles, event access, or a timed perk.

/mod tempban <user> <duration> [reason]

Requires the Ban Members permission

Only members with the Ban Members permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
user User Yes -
duration String Yes -
reason String No -

Bans a member for a set duration, after which iHorizon lifts the ban on its own. A middle ground between a kick and a permanent ban.

/mod unlock-all [role]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
role Role No -

Reopens every channel on the server at once, the counterpart to /mod lock-all. By default it unlocks everyone; pass a role to unlock only that role.

/mod unmuteall

Requires the Timeout Members permission

Only members with the Timeout Members permission can use this command.

Lifts the mute of every muted member on the server at once, the bulk counterpart to /mod unmute. iHorizon reports how many members it managed to unmute out of those it found, and tells you when nobody is muted.

/mod rolepanel [member]

Requires the Manage Roles permission

Only members with the Manage Roles permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
member User No -

Opens a panel to hand out roles without leaving the conversation. Pick up to 25 roles from the menu, then press the green button to apply them: every selected role the member already has is removed, and the others are added. Leave member out to work on your own roles.

iHorizon refuses the roles you should not be able to give away, and lists them in the panel with the reason: @everyone, roles managed by an integration, roles above iHorizon's own highest role, roles above yours (unless you own the server), and roles carrying permissions you do not have yourself. The panel answers only the member who opened it, and closes after four minutes.
