Blogger
The Blogger module lets you follow any blog or website that publishes an RSS feed. Once you subscribe a feed to a channel, iHorizon checks it regularly and posts a message every time a new article goes out. Use it to keep your community up to date with news sites, developer blogs, release notes, or your own website without anyone checking the source by hand.
/blogger blog add <rss> <channel>
Requires the Manage Server permission
Only members with the Manage Server permission can use this command.
| Option | Type | Required | Choices |
|---|---|---|---|
rss |
String | Yes | - |
channel |
Channel | Yes | - |
Use this command to subscribe to a new feed. Paste the RSS feed URL into the rss option and pick the text channel where new articles should be announced. iHorizon first checks that the URL points to a valid feed; if it does, the feed is saved and you receive a unique identifier for it. Keep that identifier close, since you will need it to remove the feed later.
/blogger blog remove <id>
Requires the Manage Server permission
Only members with the Manage Server permission can use this command.
| Option | Type | Required | Choices |
|---|---|---|---|
id |
String | Yes | - |
This command stops following a feed. Provide the identifier that was given to you when you added it (you can find it again with /blogger blog list), and iHorizon will remove that feed and stop posting its articles.
/blogger blog list
Requires the Manage Server permission
Only members with the Manage Server permission can use this command.
This command shows every RSS feed currently followed on your server, along with the channel each one posts to and its identifier. Use it when you want an overview of your subscriptions or need to look up an identifier before removing a feed.
/blogger config status <power>
Requires the Manage Server permission
Only members with the Manage Server permission can use this command.
| Option | Type | Required | Choices |
|---|---|---|---|
power |
String | Yes | Power On, Power Off |
This command turns the whole Blogger module on or off for your server. Turning it off pauses all article notifications without deleting your feeds, so you can switch it back on later and pick up where you left off.
