Night Mode

Night Mode is a security feature made by iHorizon that allows you to disable all Administrator permissions on a Discord server for a specified period of time. For example, if you are on a Discord server with many staff members, you might want to remove all admin permissions at night to prevent a raid, a theft of a Discord vanity link, etc. Then, iHorizon's night mode is made for you!

/nightmode

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Running this command opens the Night Mode configuration panel, a single menu where you set everything up. From it you can:

  • Enable night mode: turn the whole feature on or off.
  • Warn server owner: have iHorizon notify the owner each time night mode switches on or off.
  • Configure the time range: set the hours during which administrator permissions are automatically removed and later restored.
  • Derank bots: also strip bots of their admin roles during the night, since a compromised bot is a common attack vector. You can keep a whitelist of trusted bots that stay untouched.
  • Change timezone: set your UTC offset so the time range fires at the right local time.
