Server Configuration

This page covers the features that shape day-to-day life on your server: audit logs, welcome and leave messages, automatic moderation, a custom permission system, command rate limits, and more. Most of these are set-and-forget; configure them once and iHorizon takes care of the rest.

/autoreact

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Sets up auto-reactions. Pick a channel and an emoji, and iHorizon automatically reacts with that emoji to every new message posted there. It is great for suggestion channels (auto-add 👍 and 👎), media channels, or a "star this" feel.

/commandlimit <action> [command] [count] [window-time]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
action String Yes Set, Reset, List
command String No -
count Integer No -
window-time String No -

Rate-limits how often a command can be used. Choose Set, name the command, and say how many times (count) it may run within a period (window-time, like 10s, 1m, or 1h). Reset clears a limit, and List shows every limit you have set. Use it to stop a heavy command from being spammed.

/setlogs <type> [channel]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
type String Yes Setup all channels, Delete all settings, AntiSpam Logs, Boost Logs, Channel Logs, Messages Logs, Moderation Logs, Roles Logs, Ticket Logs, Voice Logs, Confession Logs, Economy Logs
channel Channel No -

Sets up audit logs, iHorizon's record of what happens on your server. Pick a log type (deleted messages, moderation actions, role changes, and so on) and the channel where those events should be posted. Setup all channels creates a full set of log channels for you in one go, while Delete all settings clears the whole logging configuration.

/support <action> <type> [roles] [input]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
action String Yes Power On, Power Off
type String Yes Something in the bio, The guild tag (Boost perks)
roles Role No -
input String No -

Rewards members who support your server with a role. Choose what counts as support with type: putting a keyword in their bio (set the keyword with input), or repping your server's guild tag. Members who qualify automatically get the roles you pick, and lose them if they stop.

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
action String Yes Power On, Power Off
logs-channel Channel No -

Automatically deletes messages containing Discord invite links, keeping other servers from being advertised in yours. Turn it on, and optionally point logs-channel at a channel to keep a record of what was blocked.

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
action String Yes Power On, Power Off
logs-channel Channel No -

The same as above, but for Telegram links. Enable it to strip Telegram invitations from your chat, with an optional logs-channel.

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
action String Yes Power On, Power Off
logs-channel Channel No -

Blocks all links, invites included. Handy for channels or servers where you want a link-free chat. Use the optional logs-channel to track deletions.

/automod block spam <action> [logs-channel]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
action String Yes Power On, Power Off
logs-channel Channel No -

Catches spam, such as repeated or flooded messages, and removes it automatically. Optionally log what it blocks with logs-channel.

/automod block mass-mention <action> [max-mention-allowed] [logs-channel]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
action String Yes Power On, Power Off
max-mention-allowed Number No -
logs-channel Channel No -

Stops mention spam. Set max-mention-allowed to how many mentions a single message may contain; anything over that is blocked, which shuts down the "ping everyone" trolling raiders love. An optional logs-channel records the blocks.

/join-ghostping channel add <channel>

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
channel Channel Yes -

Adds a channel to the join ghost-ping list. When a new member joins, iHorizon briefly pings them in that channel and instantly removes the ping, giving them a notification that quietly draws their attention to it (like a rules or introductions channel).

/join-ghostping channel remove <channel>

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
channel Channel Yes -

Removes a channel from the join ghost-ping list, so new members are no longer pinged there.

/perm set-user <user> <permission>

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command. Unless you are the server owner, you can only grant a level lower than your own.

Option Type Required Choices
user User Yes -
permission String Yes Default, Perm 1, Perm 2, Perm 3, Perm 4, Perm 5, Perm 6, Perm 7, Perm 8, Perm 9

iHorizon has its own permission system built on nine levels (Perm 1 to Perm 9), letting you control who can use which commands without touching Discord's own permissions. This command grants a specific user one of those levels directly. Default removes any custom level.

/perm command <action> [command] [permission] [custom-role] [custom-user]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
action String Yes Change command permission, Delete command permission, Delete permission (role/user/level), List all commands permission set
command String No -
permission String No Default, Perm 1, Perm 2, Perm 3, Perm 4, Perm 5, Perm 6, Perm 7, Perm 8, Perm 9
custom-role Role No -
custom-user User No -

Controls who can run a specific command. Choose Change command permission and set which permission level, role, or user is allowed to use the chosen command. The other actions let you delete a command's restriction, remove a specific role/user/level from it, or list every command restriction currently in place.

/perm list

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Shows every member who has been granted a custom permission level on the server.

/perm edit-roles <perm_level> <perm_role>

Server owner only

Only the server owner can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
perm_level String Yes Perm 1, Perm 2, Perm 3, Perm 4, Perm 5, Perm 6, Perm 7, Perm 8, Perm 9
perm_role Role Yes -

Links a role to a permission level, so everyone with that role inherits the level automatically. This is the easiest way to run the permission system: tie your "Moderator" role to a level once, and each mod inherits it.

/perm create-roles

Server owner only

Only the server owner can use this command.

Creates a ready-made set of permission-level roles (Perm 1 to Perm 9) on your server in one step, so you don't have to make them by hand before assigning them.

/guildconfig setup

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Sets up the channel where iHorizon posts its own logs about the bot. A quick first step to keep an eye on what iHorizon is doing.

/guildconfig block bot <action>

Server owner only

Only the server owner can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
action String Yes Power On, Power Off

Blocks other bots from being added to your server. With it on, any bot that joins is removed automatically, so no one can sneak an unwanted bot in.

/guildconfig block too-new-account <action> [minimum-date] [maximum-join]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
action String Yes Power On, Power Off
minimum-date String No -
maximum-join Number No -

An anti-raid guard that blocks brand-new Discord accounts. Set minimum-date to the minimum account age a member must have to stay, since raiders usually use freshly made accounts. maximum-join sets how many such accounts may join before iHorizon reacts.

/guildconfig set channel

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Opens the setup for where welcome and leave messages are sent. Use it to tell iHorizon which channel should greet new members and announce departures.

/guildconfig set join-dm

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Sets a private message iHorizon sends directly to each member when they join, a nice way to welcome them or share the rules one-on-one.

/guildconfig set join-message

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Sets the welcome message posted in your server when someone joins. You can include placeholders for the member's name and the server, so each greeting feels personal.

/guildconfig set join-role

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Sets one or more roles automatically given to every new member the moment they join, useful for a default "Member" role or a verification setup.

/guildconfig set leave-message

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Sets the message posted when a member leaves the server.

/guildconfig bot prefix <action> [name]

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
action String Yes Default prefix, Change prefix
name String No -

Changes the prefix used for iHorizon's text commands. Choose Change prefix and type your new one in name, or Default prefix to reset it to the standard prefix.

/guildconfig config show

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Displays your server's full iHorizon configuration in one place, so you can review every setting at a glance.

/guildconfig config restore <backup-to-load>

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Option Type Required Choices
backup-to-load Attachment Yes -

Restores a configuration from a file you previously saved with /guildconfig config save. Upload the file, and iHorizon applies all those settings to the current server.

/guildconfig config save

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Saves your entire iHorizon configuration to a file you can download. Keep it as a backup, or use it to copy your setup onto another server.

Prefix-only commands

The following commands exist only as prefix (text) commands. Type them with your server's prefix, or by mentioning the bot if no custom prefix is set.

+antiexe (Prefix command only)

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

Toggles the anti-executable guard on or off. Executable files are a common way malware spreads through Discord: an attacker posts an "update", a "cheat", or a "free tool", and a curious member runs it. With the guard enabled, iHorizon checks the file name of every attachment posted on your server against a list of dangerous extensions: Windows programs and scripts (.exe, .msi, .bat, .cmd, .ps1, .vbs), Mac/Linux/mobile packages (.dmg, .apk, .ipa, .sh, .bin, .AppImage, .deb, .pacman, .flatpakref), and archives that can hide them (.zip, .7z, .gz, .tar, .rar, .asar).

When a message matches, iHorizon deletes it, times the sender out for 15 minutes, and adds a formal warning to their record (the same record /mod warnlist shows). Members with the Administrator permission are not affected by the guard.

+autologs (Prefix command only)

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

One-command logging setup: the prefix shortcut for /setlogs, creating the full set of log channels for you in one go.

+autorole (Prefix command only)

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

The prefix twin of /guildconfig set join-role: sets the roles automatically given to every new member.

+joindm (Prefix command only)

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

The prefix twin of /guildconfig set join-dm: sets the private message sent to each member when they join.

+joinmessage (Prefix command only)

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

The prefix twin of /guildconfig set join-message: sets the welcome message posted when someone joins.

+leavemessage (Prefix command only)

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

The prefix twin of /guildconfig set leave-message: sets the message posted when a member leaves.

+welcomer (Prefix command only)

Requires the Administrator permission

Only members with the Administrator permission can use this command.

The prefix twin of /guildconfig set channel: opens the setup for where welcome and leave messages are sent.

+add-react <emoji> <word> (Prefix command only)

Requires the Manage Expressions permission

Only members with the Manage Expressions permission can use this command.

Registers a word-based auto-reaction: whenever a message contains word, iHorizon reacts to it with emoji. Unlike /autoreact (which reacts to every message in a channel), this one triggers on content, wherever it is posted.

+remove-react <emoji> <word> (Prefix command only)

Requires the Manage Expressions permission

Only members with the Manage Expressions permission can use this command.

Removes a word/emoji pair previously registered with +add-react.

+list-react (Prefix command only)

Requires the Add Reactions permission

Only members with the Add Reactions permission can use this command.

Lists every word/emoji auto-reaction pair saved on the server.

+toggle-react (Prefix command only)

Requires the Manage Expressions permission

Only members with the Manage Expressions permission can use this command.

Enables or disables the word-based auto-reaction system without deleting your saved pairs.
